Although Climate change is thought to be related to Science and it is mainly related to behaviour. So, there must be new motivational ways to carry out Climate change education and it should be embedded in education systems with interdisciplinary practices. With this project we will achieve all these forming interdisciplinary cross cultural climate change lessons with a holistic approach with a motivating agent: Game Based Learning and Gamification.
We are going to implement game based /gamified 12 interdisciplinary cross cultural and extracurricular CCE lessons, and have study on 3 subtopics areas needing place based and live and learn principle by means of transnational events of the project. We also aim to enrich the key staff's digital skills.
We expect that our climate change materials carrying European value will be a base for a common curriculum among European partners that will be very needed in near future. Students will improve 21st century skills, creativity, communication, cooperation, critical thinking and ICT. Teachers and students will be climate wise and climate leaders. Our project will act green and so it will encourage all the stakeholders to act green.
The Erasmus+ KA220 project Climate Wise Schools and Students aims to promote climate awareness and sustainability within the educational community by fostering international cooperation among European schools.
Through collaborative activities, the project seeks to develop environmental competences among students and teachers, encouraging best practices, educational innovation, and responsible action against climate change.
The innovative nature of the project lies in the integration of environmental conservation through visual arts, music, and the use of new technologies, combining creativity, artistic expression, and digital tools as effective ways to raise awareness and take action on climate change.
Furthermore, the impact of the project is not limited to students and teachers, but extends to the entire educational community and goes beyond the local level, promoting social awareness, active participation of families, and wider societal engagement in environmental protection.
